Paid Services & Billing
This page describes billing on Dealz: (1) optional platform services you buy from us (subscriptions, boosts, auction tools, etc.) and (2) item purchases you may complete through Dealz checkout when buying from another user. Exact prices, currencies, fees, and tax handling are shown in the app at checkout and may change — the checkout screen prevails for the transaction you confirm.
1. Platform paid services (paid to Dealz)
Depending on your region and app version, these may include:
- Seller Pro / plans: subscription or time-based access to enhanced seller tools (listing slots, boosts, reserve credits, etc. — as shown in Promotion Studio or subscription screens).
- Boosts & featured placement: time-limited visibility upgrades for listings.
- Listing highlight: optional framing or styling for a listing for a defined period.
- Auction fees: one-time fees for certain auction setups (listing fee, reserve-price fee, or bundles), shown before payment.
- Other add-ons: any new paid feature will show price, duration, and renewal rules before you pay.
2. Item purchases & seller payouts (buyer ↔ seller)
When you buy an item (including via cart or auction win checkout where enabled), you authorize a charge through our payment partner. The seller receives the net amount according to provider settlement rules, seller payout setup, and any platform fee shown at purchase.
If the app shows that funds are held until the seller finishes Stripe Connect, PayPal seller setup, or similar, that reflects real settlement timing — not a separate optional product.
Shipping vs pickup: Dealz coordinates payments and order records. Carrier services and labels for shipped orders are typically arranged outside Dealz (for example on a carrier’s website) unless we clearly state otherwise in the app.
Cash / meet-up flows offered in the app (if any) are marked separately; they do not use card checkout until you choose a card option.
3. Checkout & payment methods
We use integrated checkouts with Stripe and/or PayPal where enabled. Your relationship with the provider is governed by their terms. Dealz does not store your full card number on our servers.
4. Renewals & cancellation
- Subscriptions: If you buy a renewing plan, renewal timing and price are shown at purchase. You can manage or cancel recurring billing through the in-app subscription management screen and/or the provider’s customer portal (for example Stripe billing portal or PayPal automatic payments), as linked from the app.
- One-time purchases: Boosts, highlights, and many auction fees are one-time unless the checkout screen clearly states otherwise.
- Turning off renewal stops future charges; it does not automatically refund past subscription periods unless required by law or stated at purchase.
5. Refunds & chargebacks
Platform services (boosts, Pro time, listing unlocks) often start immediately; refunds are therefore limited except where required by law or where we confirm a technical failure on our side.
Item purchases follow the order flow in the app: statuses such as paid, shipped (delivery in progress), released (completed for payout timing where applicable), or disputed (issue opened). Completion may use a delivery code shared between buyer and seller and/or an automatic completion window after shipment if no dispute is opened — see the order screen. Refunds and chargebacks remain under the payment provider’s rules where applicable. Chargebacks are decided by Stripe/PayPal; abuse may affect account access.
For either case, contact support.dealz@dealzmarketplace.com with your user email and payment or order reference.
6. Price & tax changes
We may adjust list prices or introduce new bundles. Existing active subscription periods are generally honored until renewal unless we notify you otherwise as required by law.
7. Free trials & credits
If we offer trial periods or promotional credits, their rules appear in the app (duration, eligibility, and what happens when the trial ends).
8. Account deletion
Deleting your Dealz account does not automatically cancel payment obligations already owed to a payment provider. Cancel subscriptions first where applicable. See Account deletion.
